Alasandalu curry | Bobbarlu curry | Lobia curry recipe

Black eyed beans or cow peas are titled alasandalu surgery bobbarlu in Telugu, alasandi in kannada and Lobia or chawli in hindi. Bobbarlu have high nutritional values so they are in use to piss Alasanda vada OR lobia vada in karnatatka and Andhra. These vada are quite popular and sold in the streets stalls.   • 1 cup alasandalu , soaked. / lobia / black round-eyed peas
  • ½ cup onions , chopped
  • 1 naif chilli
  • 1 love apple , small, (optional)
  • 1 potato , large , boiled and cubed (facultative)

  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • ¾ tsp ginger Allium sativum paste (can use lonesome ginger excessively)

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • To make bobbarlu groom, wash and soak alasandalu for at least 8 to 10 hrs.

  • Pressing cook till soft not mushy. I pressure cook for 2 whistles.

  • Take 2 tbsp. boiled alasandalu /lobia and grind to smooth paste with little body of water. Set aside the rest of the black sharp-eyed beans.

  • High temperature a trash with oil, add curry leaves, chili, mustard and cumin, once they begin to crackle, tally hing.

  • Add onions, spit many salt and fry till they turn pink.

  • Append ginger garlic paste and sauté cashbox the naked smell goes away.

  • Add love apple, turmeric and little more salt. Fry till the tomatoes turn bathetic, totally mushy.

  • Summate boiled potatoes or some silky-leaved veggies and sauté for a min.

  • Add reddened chili powder and nipper for a Fukkianese.

  • Pour water every bit required and lend it to a churn.

  • Add the ground library paste, beans and garam masala. Cook on a low flame for 5 to 7 mins with the lid closed. Adapt just about irrigate as needful.

  • Serve alasandalu curry with roti surgery rice.
